Skills Development Projects
Novus Academy – 2011 (Ongoing)
The combination of our passion for the print industry and the obvious shortage of specialised skills in the marketplace prompted us to establish the Novus Academy in 2011. We seek to unlock the potential of industry professionals from across the globe, by offering world-class print training and educationprograms that are accredited by SETA and the City & Guilds of London Institute.
The Academy provides our employees with the opportunity to learn, grow and excel at their jobs through the delivery of technical, life skills, management, leadership, IT and systems, as well as a host of other courses and apprenticeship programs that allow employees to “earn while you learn,” all the while working toward internationally certified qualifications.
Technical training is offered as fulltimeapprenticeship programs, fulltime training or part time training.

Understanding that teachers are vital in driving and advancing education, especially maths in South Africa, Novus Holdings has donated R100 000 of financial aid to the Principals Academy Trust which will be used to fund the running of the Subject Intervention workshops.

Wildlands Conservation Trust – 2016
A conservation and employment initiative, Wildlands Conservation Trust aims to empower its beneficiaries by educating them to conserve their natural environment and heritage and to feed, clothe, educate and house themselves by growing and trading trees and collecting waste.
Operating seven programs across 12 communities in six provinces, the Trust promotes wellbeing and sustainability.
Our donation of R100, 000 in financial aid will go a long way to furthering the education in these communities.
The Big Issue – Ongoing
Novus Holdings and The Big Issue have worked together for the last 18 years providing empowerment to the unemployed. A socially responsible non profit enterprise, The Big Issue provides employment to marginalised adults through its job creation program whereby these adults become vendors for the magazine, receiving a percentage of the sale price of each copy.
As our financial aid contribution Novus Holdings covers the costs of printing and binding for each monthly issue.
National Teachers Awards – 2017
